Fuquay Varina is one of the most mispronounced Towns in North Carolina....and that is a fact. Think of it as few-quay. Having a long history in North Carolina, the quick version is that in 1909 Fuquay Springs joined the neighboring community of Varina and was made into one municipality. Since then, Fuquay, as most locals refer, has grown leaps and bounds and is a great place to live and raise a family. It is approximately 20 minutes from Downtown Raleigh and has easy access to all major thoroughfares throughout Wake, Johnston and Harnett Counties.
Fuquay Varina is a bit more affordable than Holly Springs, Apex and Cary. The main reason is simply because it is closer to amenities such as Crossroads in Cary, Research Triangle Park and RDU....aka the airport. You get a little more house and land for the money.
